      Hi everyone.

Excuse my noob question but can I get SG-4860 and plug in something like Intel 7265 IEEE 802.11ac Bluetooth 4.0 - Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Combo Adapter Internal M.2 2230.
Can I make such wireless card work in access point mode with pfSense software?

Or am I not knowing obvious stuff and this is generally bad idea?

      Thanks a lot!

Indeed there's no 802.11ac support in FreeBSD and hence pfSense at this time.

Additionally there is no M.2 socket in the SG-4860. There are mPCIe slots you can use though.

Older Atheros based cards will work such as the one we previously stocked:

Generally though you can usually get better coverage by using an external access point.
