      Hello All!

I have been searching for about 2 weeks now and can't find an exact answer on how to do what I am wanting to do.

I have a vpn service that I run on a computer behind my pfsense firewall. I want to forward a port to this computer but since it is using a different ip (given by the vpn service) I cannot figure out how to successfully forward a port from pfsense to this computer.

My network would be something like 172.16.0.0/24
The ip the vpn service gives my computer would look like 192.240.55.26

I want to setup a rule in pfsense to say anything coming in on port 27000 send to > 192.240.55.26 (or the ip the computer has for my network would be something like 172.16.0.200)

Any help with this would be very appreciated!

      Thank you

The VPN provider has to forward a port to the VPN address.

You can forward a port to another address on that host (like its address on LAN) but otherwise what you are trying to do is sort of nonsensical.

Maybe instead of asking how to forward a port you describe what you want to do instead. There might be another way.

DO NOT set a source address/port in a port forward or firewall rule unless you KNOW you need it!
