Forward local IP to Other Local IP
I want to migrate one Server in another server, They both will be on the same IP on a different port.
Earlier I have two distinct servers with different IP's
let's say A has 18.104.22.168 and B 22.214.171.124.
Now (A) 126.96.36.199. will be migrated to 188.8.131.52 on port no 81 and
(B) 184.108.40.206 will be in 220.127.116.11 on port no 80
Now we have lots of App and Links with us from long ago configured with IP 18.104.22.168
I want to forward local IP 22.214.171.124 to local IP 126.96.36.199:81
If any local App or Link wants to connect with 188.8.131.52 should be redirected to 184.108.40.206:81
Is there any way to do this through pfsense,
why would something that is local to 1.2.3 even talk to pfsense to talk to something else on 1.2.3..
"Now we have lots of App and Links with us from long ago configured with IP 220.127.116.11"
You configured stuff to use an IP and not a FQDN?? Yeah fail for sure..
You do understand that a machine especially a webserver for example can have more than 1 IP on the same network right.. So your new server can have 18.104.22.168 and 22.214.171.124 and serve up stuff on port 80 for either of them.. Your server could serve up http (80) on hundreds of different ips if you wanted too, etc..
What you should be doing is redoing all your stuff that have a hard coded IP in them.. This is just bad bad bad idea all the way around!!
