Open DNS + Gateway Failover + Update Times

Hello all,
I have 2 gateway groups, each group has something like 5 Tiers.

On one of these Gateway groups, called NordVPN it has failover, so when Tier1 goes offline it fails over to Tier2 , 3 etc….

The problem i have is when the gateway failover to the next tier down it's not updating the Dynamic DNS that is using OpenDNS and thus the OpenDNS blocking settings are now not being implemented. any idea on how to get the Dynamic DNS to update as soon as it fails over to the next tier?

i just changed the time in the cron plugin

/usr/bin/nice -n20 /etc/rc.dyndns.update

removed the every 1 hour default and made it more frequent..
