I've noticed that my pfsense box will go a couple months then sometimes when I look the up-time is smaller, like its been restarted though I haven't done a restart. Any explanation for this? I've never noticed a hiccup in connectivity.

        Look in the logs.

Is it possible this Uptime number is not linked to the system restart time?

You need to look for anything that indicates it restarted.

No. Uptime is time since it was booted.
