I made a post in General not realising this thread was here.

      http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,12654.0.html

If anyone could help out further it would be great..

Basically I am getting blocked by squid when trying to use port 81…How do I unblock that port.

I did get help in saying to edit the squid.inc file...But not sure how to do that.

      Thanks.

Try this…go to diagnostics, edit file, enter '/usr/local/pkg/squid.inc' without the quotes and then press load, search for this line:

        acl safeports port 21 70 80 210 280 443 488 563 591 631 777 901

and add port 81, like this,

        acl safeports port 21 70 80 81 210 280 443 488 563 591 631 777 901

        press save.

Now that you're done you'll have to either reboot the box or at a minimum restart the squid service, but I think a reboot might be in order as the squid config is rebuilt from this *.inc file each time the box boots.  Make sure you reboot by doing diagnostics, restart, and not by pressing the button on your case.
