      hello,
I need a local transparent proxy and I do not want it tunning on pfsense - as described here with cisco
      http://www.grape-info.com/doc/cisco/router/contents/example-tproxy.html

im sure there are several ways to do this with pfsense… but i dont know the best way and would like to here your experiences.
My primary goal is to cache ftp/http - but a filtering compatible solution would be good as well.
I have a seperate server that caches apt - it will need to be excluded from the squid proxy.

      thank you, tom

Please read the forums before posting.  This question is answered ad nauseum including detailed how-tos concerning the set up of squid and squidGuard in a transparent configuration.  I'm moving this to the "Packages" forum to help you on your way.
