Good morning, if anyone could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated!

      I'm running pfSense 2.2.5:

      2.2.5-RELEASE (amd64)
built on Thu Nov 05 10:25:33 CST 2015
      FreeBSD 10.1-RELEASE-p24

Since yesterday, when I log into my pfSense, I get this error at the top of the dashboard:

pfSense has detected a crash report or programming bug. Click here for more information. [Close]

When I check the crash report from the click here link, it says this:

Crash report begins.  Anonymous machine information:

      amd64
      10.1-RELEASE-p24
      FreeBSD 10.1-RELEASE-p24 #0 f27a67c(releng/10.1)-dirty: Thu Nov  5 10:56:50 CST 2015     root@factory22-amd64-builder.pfmechanics.com:/usr/obj.RELENG_2_2.amd64/usr/pfSensesrc/src.RELENG_2_2/sys/pfSense_SMP.10

      Crash report details:

      PHP Errors:
      [21-Sep-2017 15:12:00 America/New_York] HTTP error, got response: HTTP/1.1 405 Not Allowed
      [21-Sep-2017 15:12:03 America/New_York] HTTP error, got response: HTTP/1.1 405 Not Allowed
      [22-Sep-2017 08:40:17 America/New_York] HTTP error, got response: HTTP/1.1 405 Not Allowed
      [22-Sep-2017 08:40:19 America/New_York] HTTP error, got response: HTTP/1.1 405 Not Allowed
      [22-Sep-2017 08:58:58 America/New_York] HTTP error, got response: HTTP/1.1 405 Not Allowed
      [22-Sep-2017 08:59:01 America/New_York] HTTP error, got response: HTTP/1.1 405 Not Allowed

      Filename: /var/crash/minfree
      2048

When I check the system logs, I see a few of these:

      Sep 22 08:59:01	php-fpm[86474]: /pkg_mgr.php: XMLRPC request failed with error 5: Didn't receive 200 OK from remote server. (HTTP/1.1 405 Not Allowed)

…and when I go to the Package Manager, I see this:

Unable to communicate with https://firmware.netgate.com. Please verify DNS and interface configuration, and that pfSense has functional Internet connectivity.

I can however browse to firmware.netgate.com without issue, through this firewall.

Otherwise, everything seems to be working fine with the firewall.  Just wondering if this is an issue that will resolve itself at some point since it is happening on two of our firewalls that are completely separated geographically and configuration-wise as well.

      Any input would be appreciated!
      Thank you

      Chris

        Hello,

Firmware.netgate.com doesn't appear to be setup to handle PHP: https://firmware.netgate.com/pfSense/ anymore
Firmware versions older then 2.2.6 use PHP for intercommunication with pkg/upgrade repo server.
Upgrade to 2.3.x should solve it.

Same problem on my pfSense. I contacted enterprise support, which did not provide me with any solution, only to update the firmware to one supported (at least 2.2.6). But I have two firewall with older firmare version (2.1.5) that contact correctly firmware.netgate.com. So the problem exist only on 2.2.x firmware [olther than 2.2.6]?!?)

Any workaround for this?  I realize this thread is a couple months old, but I am experiencing the EXACT same issues, and I REALLY don't want to upgrade firmware.

              On 2.2.6 here…

Only noticed it because I have the need to install a package, and it won't retrieve the list.  My pfsense box has been up over a year otherwise...

              Thanks,

              -Alan
