After upgrading to pfSense 2.3.4-RELEASE-p1, I could no longer access my cable modem at 192.168.100.1.  Previous versions of pfSense allowed access without any additional settings.

This is just to document how I resolved it in case anyone else has the same issue.  I am not saying this is the correct method, just what I did.  If there is an issue with this method, please chime in.

Under Firewall/Virtual IPs, create a virtual IP of 192.168.100.2/31.  Apply it to the WAN interface.  I took the defaults for all other settings.

The above setting assumes the cable modem is at 192.168.100.1.  Feel free to use any subnet mask you desire.  I wanted to lock it down to just two (2) addresses.
