Hi guys I have searched the forums to investigate the best option but I am still a bit lost and could use the guidance of someone more expert. OK here is the situation, I am sure it is a very common problem; My Internet provider has a plan which I want to more to which allows 75gb of downloads from torrents etc at night (Midnight to 8am), the usage during the day is pay per mb (not crazy expensive but the 75gb at night is free up to the 75gb then pay per mb after that). There are two of us in the house using the internet connection and I want to do is limit the downloading to these night hours (block torrent, P2P during the day) but also ideally monitor the usage for day and night. If I could do this using quotas then this would be even better. At this point I should mention I am also using an embeded version of pfsense. So what is the best and easiest way to attack this?

Thanks heaps in advance for your input and guidance. I look forward to any replies.

    Regards, Scott Thompson.

I just had a look into using schedules and I don't think it is even possible to allow torrent ports to open (pass) from midnight to 8am anyway as the logic does not allow it. Any ideas?

With static ports, I would say it can work.
