You can Enable "Power D", I believe in Pfsense which regulates the clockspeed for power saving according to load.. and you need Intel speedstep (or Amd version).

But do I set it to "Enable" or "Auto"  in BIOS ???, does anyone know?.

    It's newer Z170 Asus motherboard.

In my logic Auto means that the motherboard and CPU handles it, and Enable means that either the software has control… or some constant.. Hmmm..

enable and auto likely do the same thing.  Only disable would behave differently.

Note EIST is required if you want to use turbo clocks.

      pfSense CE 2.7.2
