Hi all.
I am having trouble switching to the Fiber i had installed. I have entered all the information correctly. I can get online with my laptop with this IP and gateway info. When i use these settings in pfSense i cant get onto the internet. In fact without a reboot it has said a few times that i cant reach the firewall. When i put the original configuration back it works fine.
Is it possible that the fiber box is going to need to be bridged mode? That is what they did with the Zhone box.
The old WAN is 123.456.789.0 GW and IP 123.456.789.1/29 … the new WAN is 123.456.789.0 GW and IP 123.456.789.1/30 ..
I made zero changes to the LAN interface. Even though the public facing IP has a different subnet mask i didnt see how that would be relevant. Where have i gone wrong?
