      Hello

Have read some similar post, with pfsense 2.0.1 or so. Usually a connection with a ISP modem and a private WAN IP was involved.
So I have a fiber connection to a 8P8C cat6 right into my Pfsense 2.4.1 wan port.
I get my IP through DHCP. I receive an Ip at boot every time, but when my ISP changes IP my WAN dose not recover unless i reboot.
Now yesterday I had a WAN IP showing in the terminal (No Internet access),but today I had nothing. After reboot it is all good again. Maybe WAN is just dropping connection, but I had no issues this lastweekend.
Is their a option in the WAN interface I need to look at? In Pfsense 2.3 my connection was good. Same hardware and i had no problems.

When does your ISP change your IP?  What is the lease time your getting via dhcp?  The dhcp client should renew at the 50% of lease time..  If your ISP is just invalidating your IP, then yeah you would have to renew… And if that fails and lease expires then a discover would be sent out.

Vs rebooting, why not just release and renew your wan IP.

            Hello

I believe my ISP changes my IP monthly.

My Diagnostics ARP Table has my WAN as Status Permanent. Is this right.
My LAN (Pfsense box) as Permanent. All network computers as Expires in XXX seconds. Which seems right.

              Under Interface WAN

DHCP Client Configuration I have  Saved Cfg . Should it be pfSense Default.

Have not configured any of this. Just clean installed 2.4.1.
