      Hi,

      i can´t figure out why the wan gateway everyday gets the same problems. I use IPV4

      i get messages like duplicate echo on WAN from process, packetloss and offline in the widget gui and the system and gateway logs.

      Ironically i can browse the web at the same time the gateway is(shows) offline!?

      I did a few things trying to fix the errors.
      1. like setting the Data Payload to "1" or "5". But this changed nothing.
      2. I also set another monitoring adress but this even changed anything.

      Here are my screenshots. I use 2.4.1.

      Does anyone have a tip ?

          ok. i figured out what the problem was.

          my provider always used the mac address to activate the cable modems they support. so i cloned my old mac everytime i got a new router.
          i knew otherwise i would have to call my ISP and tell them my new mac and wait for hours to get the new mac reactivated. I didn´t want that.

          So as i got my new pfsense router i entered the old mac for my wan interface. And it works but….........

          that was wrong!!!.

          today i called my ISP and i told them about my problem.They said that no more mac adress for activating the cable modem is needed. so i cleared the cloned mac of my wan interface and all states. I automatically got a new ip.
          -> and thats it.
          NO MORE PACKETLOSS AND DUPLICATE ECHO MESSAGES - NO MORE GATEWAY OFFLINE MESSAGES  ;D
