When you say you upgraded…which version to 2.4.1...?

Also...can you install a new copy of PFSense 2.4 > restore from backup and see what happens?  You're virtualized on hyper-v and although Microsoft has now dumped tens of millions (if not hundreds of millions) into making sure Linux and BSD work well on hyper-v you might be experiencing something wonky from the upgrade that are missing super secret hyper-v hooks.

I assume you ran thought this installing PFsense on hper-v?

        https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Virtualizing_pfSense_under_Hyper-V

I wonder too if you can download Azure images of PFSense and install them on your hyper-v setup...hyper-v is what runs Azure:  https://azuremarketplace.microsoft.com/en-us/marketplace/apps/netgate.netgate-pfsense-azure-fw-vpn-router

I don't use hyper-v (but I've bumped into it) but I know the images are different because Micro$osft and now PF$ense work together (ewwww) for a build that includes hyper-v / Azure tools into it so it'll work.  I think it's mainly drivers which is why I even responded to this post at all because I think there's something to what I'm saying (of course I'm biased LULZ).

        Good luck!

yes to 2.4.1 it had been running for about 10 days witrhout any issues.

A fresh install and restore of a backup is the likely next course of action.

Thanks, yes have seen the instructions on installing on Hyper-V thanks.

I've a had a quick look at the  Azure link, doesn't apper that I cna download it, to deploy on to Hyper-V.

Yer likely a driver issue of some description, although I have seen a few posts about 2.4.1 having issues with VLAN's for various reasons.

Thanks for the info and thoughts though.
