      Hi!

after installing Pfsense on HDD I get an error saying cannot load Kernel.

Installed Pfsense on 2 different HDD's: problem is the same!

      Any suggestion?

      Thanks

Unfortunate I didn't find some solution!

The error I get is while booting from HDD: can't load 'kernel' within the startup.

It would really be fine if someone can tell me what I can do?!

          Thanks.

Did you read the link i posted?

            Note the

If you're not able to boot your hardware:
            http://devwiki.pfsense.org/BootTroubleShooting

Did you do what is suggested on this page?
You generally have to give a "little" bit more information.

If you are looking for help on the forum because you have a problem:
provide as much information as possible.
            (log-outputs, screenshots of config/rules, etc.)
Often a Diagram (ASCII ART ?) can help more than pages of descriptions how your network is set up.

What hardware are you using? which version?
embedded install? fullinstall? How did you install? Do you get the error while booting from the CD?
What did you already do? etc…

Your error description is about as useless to anyone trying to help you as saying "my socks are wet" ;)

              Thanks for the answer.

              Ok, here we go:

Hardware: NEC Mate 1.7 GHz Celeron, 512 MB RAM, HDD 40 GB, CD-Reader, 3 NIC (1 onBoard and 2 PCI Cards)

              Boot from CD Ok!
Full install after booting from CD using Option 99.
              NO error while installing!
Unable to boot while get error: can't load 'Kernel'

Screenshots impossible because is DOS (FreeBSD) Mode but anyway I just get that error above!
As long as I can't boot, I'm not able to get any log pp.

Used a total of 3 different HDD's for install and the same error on all! Changed the RAM as well!
There is nothing else on that computer, only PFSense with FreeBSD!

All I need is an Load Balancing Router which handles 2 WAN (from 2 different ISP's) and 1 LAN for to be sure that the uptime is a high as possible. The mainuse is for to run an Mail Server and an ERP Server online by using an dynamic DNS Service from No-IP.

I can start PFSense from CD and run it but that isn't usefull in case the computer goes down. Nobody in the office is able to start the computer  with the required settings. So, the installation on HDD is very important.

              Thanks for any help.
