      Hello,

I had HUGE troubles having two sip lines working behind Pfsene. Finally after 1  afternoon fight Imanged to find a solution by doing 1:1 NAT. Long story, but it was really hard to make sip work…
Anyway with 1:1 works like charm. However I want to make 1:1 , to behave like Linksys rv042: to be 1:1 except for the ports that the router uses(e.g for VPN,web gui etc.).
The approach for port forwarding does not work me: I get one way audio with Linksys PAP2T no matter what settings I try. I belive this thread was teh most helpful one:

http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,12830.0.html for me going on 1:1 direction.

So is there a way to make 1:1 less 1:1 ?:)i.e add exceptions.

      Thanks,

      Peter

Just setup the ports you want forwarded under the NAT section. Under the external address section, pick one of your virtual IP's.

For the outbound, click on outbound under NAT and change it to Manual Outbound. Once it's set to manual, create a higher up rule on your WAN that's source is just one of your inside addresses(/32 netmask). Under the translation section, choose the Virtual IP that corresponds with that inside address.

All traffic from that inside address will go out with that outside Virtual address, and only the port forwarded stuff will go to the inside address it so you can use the rest of the ports how ever you want.

The tricky part is that I do not have Virtual IP(alias) on that card and most likely the ISP will not give me extra one(it is the residential line).
So I want the the main IP to be used that way. is that possible ?

Ah, so you only have the one public IP address?
