Help needed with assigning lan ports after installation

I successfully installed pfsense latest development build on my qotom q350g4.
I have wan and the lan port working.
But my problem is the other 2ports I am not able to make it work.  I have also installed atheros WiFi card.  I can't make it to work also. 
Probably I am doing something wrong in assigning ip addresses to these ports or not configuring firewall rules or may be something else.
Can I get help regarding this pls.
Once I succeed in this I want to install openvpn and squid and pfblockerng also. Any step by step guide or video tutorial for all these pls share it.
