      Hello --
        I followed this guidehttps://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=112288.msg738792#msg738792 to enable OpenDNS filtering on the firewall and everything is blocking just like I want.

      I do have some static IP's set up on the LAN side that I've specified to use another DNS server so that they are not blocked by OpenDNS but this doesn't seem to be working.

      For Reference
      I have the following DNS servers setup in General for OpenDNS
      208.67.222.222
      208.67.220.220

      DNS Server Override = Unchecked
      Disable DNS Forwarder = Checked

      Services / DNS Resolver / General  / Settings
      Enable = Unchecked

      Services / DNS Forwarder
      Enable = Checked
      All Default Options

      When I run ipconfig /all on the Windows machine that I don't want to be blocked by OpenDNS, I see the 4 DNS servers that I specified in the static lease, but there's also an IPv6 address at the top of the list that I don't recognize. Could that be the issue?

      Any help is greatly appreciated.

      Thanks,
      Kevin

          Ok, but who is forwarding to OpenDNS now ?

          Add to that : no Forwarder, no Resolver, and you checked "Disable DNS Forwarder" in General setup, so pfSense itself can't "DNS" anymore.
          I would call Houston now ….

          No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
          Edit : and where are the logs ??

            OpenDNS is set as the default DNS in General. It seems as if new IP’s that come on to the network use that OpenDNS unless specifically set to use a different DNS in the Static IP mapping. Is that not how it works? Any help is appreciated.  ;D my noob status is confirmed.
