    What is the command to turn off the swap file in Pfsense 2.4.2 as I am installing a SSD.

          That one works well enough not to get any trouble from the swap :) Plus, as long as you have enough RAM and a reasonably static load, swap won't do much anyway.

              Should be totally fine. If you want to be 100% sure, run smartctl in 6-8 months and post the results here.

                Just don't create a swap slice when you install it to be sure. The default settings will create a swap slice twice the RAM size but you can use the manual settings and just not make one.

                  I have 8gb ram swap file out of space. only using 2gb

                  my box is down..

                  i7 6700

                  freedbsd 11.1 is having issues im using snapshots last night build..

                    Bad HD maybe? That can report as out of space.
