      Hello everybody,

      I've used pfSense for a long time now, I started in 2010 with an ALIX 2D13, last year I switched to an APU 2C4. I have tried some other router systems, but I found back to pfSense, because it is just perfect for my needs .

      My problem:
      During the last few weeks, my LAN connection gets lost around once in 24 hours. All three LEDs are on, the box is dead. After restarting, I'm connecting via serial console, but I can only see the assigned WAN IP, the LAN IP ist lost. Even by using a static IP on one of my Clients, I'm not able to connect to my pfSense, neither WebGUI nor SSH. Setting a static LAN IP via serial console returns an error (got to add that later), on 2nd try the IP is set and everything is going well. +/- 24h later the problems are back.

      I did a lot of research (Google and this forum), but didn't find anything related to this.
      Any suggestions?

      Thanks in advance

      Update: It happened again. I was connected via OpenVPN this morning, closed the Connection and around lunch time I wanted to connect again. It is not possible to connect via OpenVPN, LAN is down (girlfriend ist angry  ::) ). Asked her to activate Teamviewer on the Notebook, it is visible as "online" in my Teamviewer account, but when I try to connect, I get the error message "WaitForConnectFailed".

      My setup:

        Good morning Folks,

        this is the error message I was talking of:

        An hour ago, just to be sure I wouldn't have any connection problems today, I did a restart via ssh –> 5) Reboot --> Y/y Normal reboot
        Result: APU was stuck in boot screen, the last printed line was "BIOS Version 4.6.0". Resetted the box, normal boot went through. On the overview, no IP was assigned to the LAN interface.

        1. Assign IP address --> 2) LAN Interface --> IP --> Netmask --> no Gateway --> no IPv6 --> DHCP --> revert to HTTP=no

        ifa_maintain_loopback_route: insertion failed for interface igb1: 17

        2nd try assigning an IP address was successful.

        /var/log/system.log
