On a relatively new pfSense HA setup, we wanted to setup limiter and assign it to a firewall rule. After making this change pfSense went down and it resulted in a reboot cycle. After screen recording the console I was able to find this error:

panic pfsense_undefer_state unable to find state

The last time people talked about this error was in 2016, we are using pfSense 2.4.2.

How would you guys suggest handling this, is this a bug returned from the past?

It is not returned. It is still there. It is fixed in 2.4.3.
