Traffic Shaping with Shoretel Phone system



  • I have a shoretel phone system in place with a PRI.  I need to setup a remote user who has DSL and on our side we have a T1 for data.  I want to give voip traffic a higher priority.  The phone server can use several internal IP's.  When setting things up I can use an aliase for the IP in order to specify which IP I want to allow through.  Since I have 5 IP's would aliase work with the 5 IP's for the VOIP if I use an aliase for all 5 IP's?



  • Here is the current config from a cisco switch on our network with the settings for QOS for the phones.  I read somewhere that this is only possible with 1.3…..  Is that true?
