    Hi list,

    I bought a xg-7100 netgate.

After trying to restore the configuration of a firewall that i have in use, the system does not boot and I see this message from the console:

    iPXE (http://ipxe.org) 06:00.1 C200 PCI2.10 PnP PMM 7F67E150 7F5DE150 C200
    Press ESC for boot menu.
    Booting from Hard Disk… harddrive_index=0
    /

Following the documentation published on the site https://www.netgate.com/docs/pfsense/xg-7100/reinstall-pfsense.html  I would try to reinstall the device but I can not find the image mentioned in the documentation pfSense-CE-memstick-XG-7100-2.4.3-RELEASE-amd64.img.gz .

The reset button on the device only appears to reboot the device and it doesn't do a reset to factory default.

Can you suggest me how to do it?

    Thanks,

    Cristian

Did you register your device? If so, you can download images from https://portal.pfsense.org/

If you didn't register yet, do that first after which you will have access to images on the above said link.

        Thanks,

After registering I was able to download pfSense-CE-memstick-XG-7100-2.4.3-RELEASE-amd64.img.gz and reinstall the device.

There is no CE version for XG-7100 on the mirrors.  ::)

I'll double check this but there's no need for CE version of the image to be on the mirrors since 7100 customers will be always able to download the factory image. See more here: https://www.netgate.com/docs/pfsense/solutions/xg-7100/reinstall-pfsense.html

If you no longer have an active portal subscription, please contact support to re-enable access to the image free of charge.

                If it hangs at:

                iPXE (http://ipxe.org) 06:00.1 C200 PCI2.10 PnP PMM 7F67E150 7F5DE150 C200
                Press ESC for boot menu.
                Booting from Hard Disk... harddrive_index=0
                /

Then you probably have a console speed set in the config you imported that isn't 115200bps. You can check the config file directly or try some likely suspects like 9600 or 38400.

                Steve
