      Hi,
I just bought this board to use as a new pfSense router. Once installed, the system failed to recognize the ethernet adaptors. The BIOS reports them as Intel X553. Supermicro lists FreeBSD as a supported platform so I installed FreeBSD 11.1 and it too failed to recognize the ethernet adaptors. I found a forum post on FreeNAS about the board working so I installed FreeNAS and sure enough, it worked.

I'm wondering if anyone else is using a Denverton based motherboard with pfSense and what they had to do to get the driver to load?

      Thanks in advance

Were you able to make it work?

Try a 2.4.4 snapshot. The more people test it the more likely we are to find any issues. Very much not for production at this point though.
