      Hi,

I am running pfsense on a SSD. Is running fstrim from time to time necessary or is it done automatically ?

TRIM on SSDs is enabled by default.

When I was on BSD 11 and 2.4.2, it wasn't, so I just dropped down to BSD and enabled it.  Am not aware, really don't know, you have to run something regularly like defrag.

For my answer I just did a forum search and Ivor definitively answered it last year.
