Arplookup host not on network opt1
-
Im pulling my hair out. Ive been working on this day and night for the last week with no success :o
Lan and Wan work fine. I can ping with my opt1 interface setup as a wan2. and there is normal in/out activity
I have been following the http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/MultiWanVersion1.2 . And everytime I check my system logs I get the error( kernel: arplookup 192.168.2.1 failed: host is not on local network) Also status/loadbalancer shows OPT1 offline
192.168.2.1 is the gateway for that device, I double check with status/interfaces from the menu.
What am I missing? What screenshots would help you?

Also.. I do not have OPT1 set to static in interfaces/OPT1, it is DHCP. WAN1 is set the same way.

Does your gateway allow to be pinged?
I would not use the gateway itself as monitoring IP, but the next hop behind the gateway. -
What happens if you don't have any balancing pools?
Is you wan also DHCP?
From same provider?
basically more information on your wan'syour can search for " failed: host is not on local network " on this forum or on google for information on why it happens.

I would not use the gateway itself as monitoring IP, but the next hop behind the gateway.yes and comes back fine with no loss. Did not try the next hop yet.

I have also reconfigured OPT1 to be WAN just to test it. works fine. I am on my way to school I will later post screenshots of my loadbalance rules, firewall rules and interfaces/OPT1 and status/interfaces.This is by far the most helpful forum i have come across. Thanks guys
