      Hello,

Can anyone point me to a valid document which shows throughput for pfSense 2.3.5 running in ESXi 6.5U2 as i am not able to find some relevant documentations for the same.

I need to know IPSEC VPN throughput and entire appliance throughput

Any help would be much appreciated.

      Thanks,
      Amit

        it'll depend on the hardware.
one of my old and rusty poweredge r310 w/ xeon 3430 running esxi 5.5 maxes out at around 2-2.2gbit/s inter-vlan traffic. (never measured actual pps)
my WAN is only 250mbit/s, so no clue how much impact NAT will have.

i don't use ipsec, so can't help you there

also, you should try 2.4.x instead.

How many cores? How fast are they? What kind of NICs? AES-NI? What infrastructure is it in? What is the makeup of said traffic?

Pretty much impossible to say. Certainly impossible with the detail provided.

Yeah why would you be running 2.3.5, clearly you can not be 32bit limited. And your esxi is not even current either. But has mentioned its impossible to even guess without some details of your hardware.
