Cannot install from redirected CD-ROM
-
I'd like to install 2.3.4 remotely using out-of-band interface (ILOM) on a SUN server.
So I mount CD-ROM ISO and instruct the server to boot from it.
It starts booting and then it fails on trying to mount CD-ROM.I went through all messages during boot process and I could not find any trace of CD/DVD or USB related device.
I've tried Debian ISO and it boots and installs normally.

@mdes said in Cannot install from redirected CD-ROM: I went through all messages during boot process and I could not find any trace of CD/DVD or USB related device. That's likely the problem. It may be that the type of drive/controller they emulate is not supported by FreeBSD. Are there any options to change how it behaves?

@mdes What he^ says. what sits between pfsense and the USB hardware? FreeBSD.

'AMI vitual CDROM' does not seem particularly unusual. Seems to be detected fine on a lot of hardware in FreeBSD.
Exactly what Sun device is this? What exact ISO are you trying to boot? Steve
