Nat port forwarding
Can someone show me an example of nat port forward configuration?
external pc: 192.168.2.10
pfsense WAN: 192.168.2.20
pfsense LAN: 192.168.3.1
samba file server: 192.168.3.10
The goal is to from 192.168.2.10 have access to the files on the samba server.
The WAN IP address isn't routable on the internet.
You'll need to port forward on a device that has an internet routable address or if you have an ADSL router connected to your pfSense router then put the ADSL router into bridge mode.
Ok. So suppose that my WAN IP is 126.96.36.199.
How would you do the configuration ? please.

Does x.x.x.x exist on a different device ?
no. it does not.
Don't nat your samba stuff unless you have to, use a VPN.
ok. I used vpn and it works.
Is there any other solution ? I am an intern and my boss said he do not want vpn.
I am out of ideas. please.
I wouldn't advise opening up SMB to the internet.
