Hi, I am new to Pfsense and I am having a small annoying issue. When I am in network I am not able to follow a DNS redirect address to go out and then come back into the network for example. I am hosting a website. I can not go out to the address and be redirected back in when in network. I can only access it by either connecting to my hotspot or using a local address.. Can anyone tell me what to change so that I can access this public address from within my network..

Hi. Go to System / Advanced / Firewall & NAT and select "Pure NAT" in NAT Reflection mode for port forwards under Network Address Translation. Then try again.

I have done that and now instead of the cant connect message, now I get a spinning circle just clocking. Should I make any changes to my current Port forwards?

Actually I figured it out. I also had to enable Enable automatic outbound NAT for Reflection

@tmoran000 said in Connecting To local server from within the network:

Enable automatic outbound NAT for Reflection

              Now it works?

Yes only after enabling the outbound option
