  • Galactic Empire

    Tried running 2.3.5 ?

If you search your logs for discard frame w/o packet header, there seems to be a crash just after.

Looks to me ( and I'm no expert ) that its related to tour network card.

  • Rebel Alliance Developer Netgate

Since you have a 64-bit system that should really be running 2.4.3-p1. It appears it's crashing somewhere in dummynet (limiters), and several limiter bugs have been fixed between 2.3.x and 2.4.3-p1.

  • Thanks @jimp and @NogBadTheBad for the help!!!

We will schedule a maintenance and install the new version. I'll come back later and give you a feedback!

    Thank you!

  • Hello,

The server crashed and got stuck in a loop because of the error. I had to perform a new installation "for yesterday". The only problem after I install, copy the config.xml to the conf folder and restart, was that the error regarding partitions name. I was able to check which was the correct disk and with the command: ufs:/dev/da0s2 pfsense loaded correctly.

    Manual root filesystem specification:
      <fstype>:<device> [options]
          Mount <device> using filesystem <fstype>
and with the specified (optional) option list.
        eg. ufs:/dev/da0s1a
            cd9660:/dev/acd0 ro
              (which is equivalent to: mount -t cd9660 -o ro /dev/acd0 /)
? List valid disk boot devices
. Yield 1 second (for background tasks)
      <empty line> Abort manual input

With this step, will it stay permanently or do I need to configure something more?
