      Hello, everyone.
I need to add a second physical interface on my LAN side to use it in case of a contingency of two proxy servers I have. But I get the error "IPv4 address x.x.x.x.x/x is being used by or overlaps with: LAN".
I know I can use VIP to assign another IP to my LAN interface, but I understand that this would not allow me to define output rules (because it is not a new interface) like the ones I currently have on my LAN (Internet, DMZ, routing policies, etc.).
Is there any way to accomplish this? For availability reasons I do not wish to touch my default gateway (LAN).
      I appreciate any help.
Thank you very much and have a good day.

      Gabriel

You cannot have two different interfaces on the same subnet.

Whatever it is that you need to do can almost certainly be accomplished with one interface if it's even possible at all. Do you have a more detailed explanation of the problem or a diagram of what you're trying to do?

Are you just needing to use the ports as a switch effectively?

If so you want to use a bridge.
