Steps to change to multi processer kernal

I have a dual processor:
Processors 2
Model Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz
CPU Speed 2.99 GHzI setup Pfsense with the uni kernal and would like to know th steps to take to use the multi proccess kernal. With out having to start from scratch.

Well, uni or multiple kernel mode is a initial installation question when you boot the first time (from CD).
I only saw the question at that very moment.
The good news is that you could save your config to a external medium, and redo the initial install.
Make the good kernel choice,
Set up the LAN,
Load the config ,
…and you're up.Just setting a simple switch and reboot isn't a choice, I think.

You can get the mp kernel from the install cd and copy it over- download it onto the box, use a usb key, mount the cd etc. Then just backup the old kernel and rename it to kernel.gz. Then reboot the box.
