I have a WAN connection which uses PPPoE.

I'm behind a kind of "%CGNAT" system, i.e. my ISP gives me x% of times a CGNAT IP and some y% of times a regular public IP. The two situations are clearly identifiable as the CGNAT IPs are private addresses.

Is there a way to reconnect the WAN until a public IP is given to skip the CGNAT IPs? ..or any alternative techniques to achieve the same?

      Thanks!

My new fibre ISP is doing the same kind of sh*t. Did you ever fix this?

So refuse an offered PPPoE address? Hmm, I'm not sure I've seen that.. 🤔

It's possible to set a custom mpd file for the connection so you might be able to do something with the ipcp ranges there: https://mpd.sourceforge.net/doc5/mpd26.html#26

After some discussion with their support they disabled CGNAT for me. :-)
