      Hi,

I had to do a full reset of my Netgate pfsense 2.4.3-p1, and I did some googling first, where the indications was that all I would have to do is to restore /cf/conf/config.xml. I tried this, using a configuration that I know was working before, but it got bricked again.

Are there any other files I need to restore after a full reset like this, or should config.xml contain all information needed ? It's possible that my box was "bricked" before, and it just didn't trip until the reboot, and hence, maybe I had a bad config.xml all along?

      Thanks!

That's the only file you should need.

If you had any packages installed it will try to re-install those at the first boot after uploading the config. If you don't have a valid WAN at that point it cannot do that.

How exactly did it 'brick'? Do you still have access to the console?
