      Hi guys

I am looking into buying a XG-7100 1U. Is there a list of compatible SFPs.
To be more specific, I am looking for 1Gbit Singlemode SFPs.

      thanks in advance
      phil

Don't be so lazy, search the forums: https://forum.netgate.com/topic/131725/xg-7100-sfp-module-1gbps

i actually did search the forum, but must have missed the thread. I only saw topics on multimode.
so far as I understood the last post, the new boards in the XG-7100 should support 1gbit now. is there any confirmation on that?

          thanks
          phil

            I have personally tested these:

Manufacturer Model Reported Media Types Notes
            10Gtek AXS13-192-10 10/1G SMF autoselect, 1000baseLX, 10Gbase-LR
10Gtek ASF13-24-10 1G SMF autoselect Worked but should report 1000baseLX
            FiberStore SFP-10GLR-31 10/1G SMF autoselect, 1000baseLX, 10Gbase-LR
FiberStore SFP1G-LX-31 1G SMF 1000baseSX Worked but should report as 1000baseLX
Cisco GLC-LH-SM 1G SMF autoselect Worked but should report 1000baseLX
StarTech HUBS-SFPG1320C 1G SMF autoselect Worked but should report 1000baseLX

You might have to either edit/save the interface or manually execute one of these if you insert or remove/reinsert a module after the system boots:

ifconfig ixX down ; ifconfig ixX up
            ifconfig ixX media autoselect

Where ixX is, of course, ix0 or ix1.
