      Hi guys,
Is the config file dependent from the software release we're using?
That is, can I use a very old backed up config file on a brand new pfSense release?
      Cheers

In theory yes, but we had reports from time to time that something wasn't converted correctly. We are trying to convert old configs but if you detect something not working or encounter strange problems you should rebuild your config from scratch manually.
