      On my Dashboard I see

      "2.4.3-RELEASE (amd64)
built on Thu May 10 15:02:52 CDT 2018
      FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-p10

The system is on a later version than official release."

With just the button to recheck for an update.

      Under System>Update I see

      "Current Base System: 2.4.3_1
      Latest Base System: Warning:
      Status: Running a newer version."

I remember seeing the upgrade icon and I have tried a few steps from another post and also the steps to fix update issues and nothing seems to clear this issue up.

Here is more info when i do a pkg-static update -f via CLI

This is what I meant when I said I have tried the troubleshooting update steps.

There are a lot of suggestions there. It's doubtful all of them would fail the exact same way.

List the ones you've tried and the results of each.

I posted pkg-static update -f in the OP. Working on rerunning the others when I can.

Right and there were no errors in that output.

You should at least do this section: https://www.netgate.com/docs/pfsense/install/upgrade-troubleshooting.html#upgrade-not-offered-library-errors

Sifted through the logs and after an update to ACME errors started happening with a package mismatch of

                          pfSense-pkg-mtr-nox11

                          • package: 1102000
                          • running kernel: 1101001

pkg-static: repository pfSense contains packages for wrong OS version: FreeBSD:11:amd64

The log entries do not show if it was ACME exactly, it just shows errors after updating that package.

Completed pkg-static clean -ay; pkg-static install -fy pkg pfSense-repo pfSense-upgrade with no errors.

After more digging in the logs I have a ton of PHP errors that are popping up and also causing the CLI update to fail when running pfSense-upgrade -d -c. See BUG report below for the errors I see on the terminal.

But per this BUG report which shows the same PHP errors I get when running the above https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/8868 if I run the update command in the comments pfSense-upgrade -d without the -c listed in the troubleshooting steps it will prompt to update, what should I do?

After more research into the BUG report showing the PHP errors I see it took me to this BUG report: https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/8938

Looks like a package update causing PHP to update and while still on 2.4.3_1 is causing my issue so I will be updating to 2.4.4 via CLI using pfSense-upgrade -d, I will report afterwards if there are no further issues.

Exact cause is listed as: Installation of a package that depends on php72 on a version of pfSense older than 2.4.4-RELEASE breaks the pfSense install

After the CLI updated to 2.4.4 from 2.3.4_1 I have lost all my interfaces except for WAN, I originally had WAN and LAN-LAN4. Downloading ISO now over LTE since I have no working LAN and wiping and reinstalling pfsense.

What type of interfaces were they? em? igb? Something else?

Are they working after a reinstall?
