Shutting down and restarting pfSense SG-1000 microfirewall

Hello. I have been using a pfSense SG-1000 microfirewall for a while now, it serves me well.
To shut it down, I have been disconnecting the device, until the date I was advised on this forum that doing so would damage the software installed on it. Upon checking the documentation, I found the confirmatory reference.
But I found nothing on restart.
So, now, when I need to power-off my home (for electrical works at my home); On the one hand, I do nothing to my ISP-supplied box and my Apple Airport base stations, which is equivalent to shutting them down with the power button, that is the recommended procedure for them; and, on the other hand, I shut down my iMac by its shut-down command and the SG-1000 by its GUI command Diagnostics > Halt System ...
Then, to restart; for my iMac, I use its power button; and for my SG-1000, Having no power button, the SG-1000 restarts automatically when I power my home again with electricity. I do not need to do anything to restart the SG-1000, which is kind of cool.
I have noted that when I power the SG-1000 off, it remains connected to electricity but is, nevertheless, effectively stopped. This is confirmed in the pfSense documentation.
So, In the event I halt the system with the Halt System command and do not shut electricity down, I use the power button of my iMac to restart it it if I have shut it down manually and, since there is no power button on the SG-1000, I unplug its electrical plug and plug it on again.
Is this the proper procedure for the SG-1000 or do I need to do something else ?
Do I need to use console access to restart the SG-1000 ?
Can I configure console access from a distant part of my home via my home private network (which I see as being shut down as long as the SG-1000 remains shut down) ?

This is the correct procedure.
Do I need to use console access to restart the SG-1000 ?
When 'halted', the processor is stopped. Console access wouldn't work, as all communication is down.
