Odd ESXi / pfSense 2.4.4 iso mount problem
-
Hi all,
Thanks for reading and apologies if this is a simple question, but I'm relatively new to the ESXi world.
I've been trying to install the ISO into ESXi 6.7 for a few days now, but have been failing terribly. The VM just does not want to book from the mounted CD-ROM drive which has the pfSense image mounted.
I can see it states the drive is Connected and is configured to power on at boot up - I even see as such in the VM settings as it boots up. However it still does not want to boot from the pesky virtual disk image - and I receive the "Operating System not found" printout on the console.
I assume it may be me not knowing the workings of ESXi, but my troubleshooting and Googling have not helped me yet, therefore I come to you guys for assistance.
Oh, and I have zero issue spinning up an Ubuntu VM, or Windows Server VM via mounting the image.
Cheers.

I assume this was resolved in the other thread?

I have the same problem. I could not find another related thread by the same user. Where do I find it?

You should start your own thread for this. After 2 years a lot has chnaged in both pfSense and ESXi.
