      Hi,
I have set up a site to site IPsec VPN from pfsense to fortigate. It works perfectly for clients in both subnets, local and remote, but traffic from pfsense itself is not routed through the tunnel but through the default WAN gateway.
For example I can ping from client 10.11.1.10 (local network) to server 192.168.1.20 (remote network) but not from pfsense. Packet capture shows the ping from pfsense going out on the WAN interface instead of IPsec.
What could be wrong with the configuration or what is missing to have pfsense route its own traffic to the remote network through IPsec?
The pfSense version is 2.4.2 and this is the status of IPsec P2:
