nic card with poe?
I'm new to pfsense and haven't even built one or implemented one before so I'm a newb but it should be fun and a challenge. This is for home so nothing important or serious :D
My question is do nic cards with POE power out of the ethernet. I have unifi AP PRO. it says it requires 802.3af PoE/802.3at PoE+. which nic card should I go with I only need 4 ports. All the intel nic cards i see don't mention poe or I don't know what specs to look for. thanks in advance

I'd personally just get a POE injector for <$20. It is possible to get a NIC that does POE but they're expensive. If you go that route, look for something with an intel chipset, that's basically the only type that works well with pfsense.

Yes, the supplied injector would be easiest. Then using a PoE switch. Using a NIC that can supply PoE is not something I've ever actually seen myself. It would be interesting but almost certainly far more expensive.
