      Hi all!
I have checked: System->Advanced->Console Options->Console menu ( Password protect the console menu ) and it seems not working.
Does the same thing happen to someone?
My version pfsense community edition 2.4.4

      Thanks

How is it not working? It does not ask you for a password at the console?

Is that a serial or video console?

It does ask for the password?
That is the expected behavior with that enabled.

                Luyo,

What version of pfSense are you using? I have tested on 2.4.4, and 2.4.3-p1 and each time I needed to enter the username and password to see the console menu.

This is what I'm seeing on a clean boot: 0_1543071462193_Screenshot from 2018-11-24 09-55-31.png on a test VM with the option to password protect the console menu.

Yeah just enabled this and no reboot needed and sure looks like it asking for username and password

Hmm, testing it here the change is immediate on both serial and video consoles but have you tried rebooting?

Are you running CE or factory?

                    Steve

It works fine on CE 2.4.4 with vga/uefi console, the only "issue" is that you no longer get the beep and log output when someone logs into the WebUI while the console is password protected.

Is this a fresh install or an upgrade, any packages installed?
