      Hi.
I have a machine configured in a vlan to which I want to access as a file server (server.domain.local). My pfsense 2.4.2 resolves well the address of that machine if I ping server.domain.local or by nslookup in the windows clients of other vlanes, but if to connect to the share of that server windows I do \ server.domain.local tells me that the address is duplicated, however if I write \ address of this machine connects without problem.
In the network I only have this pfsense and in that vlan only the file server. The ips are static on all computers and therefore it is absolutely impossible that there is another computer with that ip on the network. I have checked hosts file on clients and it is empty. I do not know what else can happen.

      Any ideas ?
      Thank you.

I have already found out what was happening. The name of the windows server did not have the correct name, that is, the same name that appears in the dns resolver of the pfsense.
          Thank you.
