    Disappearing static route

      I have deployed several pfSense firewalls and occasionally I have experienced some static routes just disappearing. The static routes are on a VLAN interface to another gateway.

      Originally, I theorized it could be due to the gateway monitoring action if the remote gateway became unresponsive. I disabled the gateway monitor action (monitoring is still enabled) and restarted the dpinger process for good measure. Unfortunately, I experienced the route disappearing again. No messages are logged related to gateways.

      The static route is still defined in the configuration. Editing the route and re-saving re-establishes the route.

      Is there anything I am not considering?

      I have experienced the issue on 2.4.3 to 2.4.4.
