In the General Setup are the 2 fields
        Hostname
        Domain
significant in any way other than documentation.
Everything seemed to work with the default settings even though they
were not related in anyway to my specific installation.

My installation has a static public IP address with no domain name attached
so I planned to put that IP address in the Domain name field.

Dont put an IP into the domain name field.
Put here the name you own (corresponding with your public IP).

If you dont have a name for your IP just leave it on the default.

We do what we must, because we can.
