    Hi,

i am wondering if it is possible to setup HA with a existing, configured system.
I have pfsense in a virtuall invirement to seperate two networks, so only firewall rules in place.
For more comfort on doing maintanance etc. I would like to set up HA.
    Any experience anyone? :-)

    thanks a lot, Harald

It's possible, but with some downtime.
Check out https://www.netgate.com/resources/videos/high-availability-on-pfsense-24.html - if I remember correctly Jim is talking about it. Not 100% sure but the hangout is worth watching anyway if you want to go for HA. 😀

          also the Book:
          https://www.netgate.com/docs/pfsense/book/highavailability/index.html

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.
