Crash report following fq_codel setup
-
I was following the instructions from this post: https://forum.netgate.com/topic/112527/playing-with-fq_codel-in-2-4/815 with mild deviation, like using 600 for quantums, setting flows to 2048, slight adjustments to the targets and intervals.
Nothing strange is being set, just all basic UI config settings.
Once I had all of the steps followed, I hit apply and got this
Crash report begins. Anonymous machine information: amd64 11.2-RELEASE-p4 FreeBSD 11.2-RELEASE-p4 #2 b00c407ba5d(RELENG_2_4_4): Mon Nov 26 11:41:48 EST 2018 root@buildbot2.nyi.netgate.com:/build/ce-crossbuild-244/obj/amd64/ZfGpH5cd/build/ce-crossbuild-244/pfSense/tmp/FreeBSD-src/sys/pfSense Crash report details: PHP Errors: [28-Dec-2018 12:45:26 America/Chicago] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function addGlobal() on null in /usr/local/www/firewall_shaper_vinterface.php:400 Stack trace: #0 {main} thrown in /usr/local/www/firewall_shaper_vinterface.php on line 400 [28-Dec-2018 12:45:58 America/Chicago] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function addGlobal() on null in /usr/local/www/firewall_shaper_vinterface.php:400 Stack trace: #0 {main} thrown in /usr/local/www/firewall_shaper_vinterface.php on line 400 No FreeBSD crash data found.
While the firewall rules were left active, everything was really slow on the internet. Pages eventually loaded, but they could take up to a minute. I disabled the rules for now.
I just did a fresh install of 2.4.4_p1 on mirrored ZFS and imported my prior install's config. No other shaping or limiters are enabled.

Uncaught Error: Call to a member function addGlobal() on null in /usr/local/www/firewall_shaper_vinterface.php:400
This is not a shaper error, but a GUI error.
The function addGlobal() is used everywhere in the GUI.
When you access the "/usr/local/www/firewall_shaper_vinterface.php" page, everything from /usr/local/www/classes/ would get included, and one of the files exposes the addGlobal() funcion.
On your system, this didn't happen : some file or install error ?
