Well, after reinstalling the pfSense OS on two compact flash cards, I could use screen to access the install window via USB.
However, after completing install and cannot access the pfSense window via terminal?
Both compact flash cards complete boot as I hear the beep sound.
Is the latest pfSense update compatible with my hardware https://www.pcengines.ch/apu.htm?

What's the last thing you see in the serial terminal?

If it plays the bootup beeps I expect it to be accessible on the network, either at the default address or at your configured IP.

What was the image you used to install from? Did you choose the embedded kernel?

              Installing...
Yes, I hear the reboot and beeps.
I used the image https://www.pfsense.org/download/ > Version 2.4.4-p1 > Architecture: AMD64 (64-bit) > Installer: USB Memstick Installer > Console: Serial > Mirror: New York City, USA.
I then decompress the zip file onto this working computer and write to the memstick, then insert the memstick into the pfSense router.

Ok, and you are able to boot the installer and complete the install but it fails to boot after that?

Or it boots and plays the startup beeps at that point but just shows nothing on the console? What is the last thing shown there?

                Steve
